Terms of Service

Welcome to GigLad, a freelance marketplace connecting talented professionals with businesses seeking their expertise. By using GigLad, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Definitions

In these Terms of Service, the following terms shall have the following meanings:

• Client: A person or entity that uses GigLad to hire Freelancers.
• Freelancer: A person or entity that uses GigLad to offer services to Clients.
• Job: A project or task that a Client posts on GigLad for Freelancers to bid on.
• Platform: The GigLad website and mobile applications.

2. Eligibility

To use GigLad, you must be at least 18 years old and have a valid email address, valid identity card and phone number. You must also agree to GigLad’s terms of service.

3. Services

GigLad provides a platform for Clients to hire Freelancers to perform a variety of services. Freelancers are responsible for setting their own rates and terms of service. Clients are responsible for reviewing and agreeing to the terms of service of any Freelancer they hire.

4. Payments

GigLad uses a secure payment system to process payments between Clients and Freelancers. When a Client hires a Freelancer for a Job, the Client pays GigLad the agreed-upon fee. GigLad then holds the fee in escrow until the Job is completed and the Client is satisfied with the work. Once the Client is satisfied, GigLad releases the fee to the Freelancer.

5. Disputes

If a dispute arises between a Client and a Freelancer, GigLad will attempt to mediate the dispute. If the dispute cannot be mediated, GigLad may resolve the dispute in its sole discretion.

6. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property created by Freelancers on the GigLad platform is owned by the Freelancers. Clients do not acquire any intellectual property rights in the work product of Freelancers unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

7. Termination

GigLad may terminate your account at any time, for any reason, or for no reason at all.

8. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Nigeria.

9. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service constitute the entire agreement between you and GigLad with respect to your use of the Platform.

10. Severability

If any provision of these Terms of Service is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck from these Terms of Service and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

11. Waiver

No waiver of any provision of these Terms of Service shall be effective unless in writing and signed by both you and GigLad.

12. Notices

Notices and other communications under these Terms of Service shall be in writing and shall be deemed to have been duly given when delivered by email to the parties’ respective email addresses as set forth in their account settings.
